Sack brings to Valencia an extensive coaching background within the Canadian Junior and Major Midget ranks. His experience includes Major Midget AA, AAA, Bantam AAA, Saskatchewan Junior All Star teams as well as Saskatchewan U16 Select teams. Sack has had success moving his players on to both Division I and Division III college hockey programs in the United States, Canadian University hockey programs as well as Major Junior and the Semi-Pro ranks.

 

Coach sack will not only be coaching the Flyers but will also bring his experience to the many Ice Station youth hockey programs and will have a lead role in the much anticipated opening of its new Hockey specific training facility, the Performance Hockey Academy.

 

In his dual role as the Head Coach of the Junior A team and of the Performance Hockey Academy, Sack will implement and coordinate the Ice Station’s training programs both on and off the ice for all hockey players. “I am excited about the opportunity I have here with the Flyers and the Ice Station to build upon the successful programs they already have in place and to take them to the next level” says Coach Sack. Coach Sack has worked for the renowned Hockey 301 Hockey Schools as the Manitoba/ Saskatchewan coordinator and also has owned and operated his own hockey school before being acquired by Hockey 301.

 

With a strong commitment to player development and an extensive contact base within the college ranks and Canadian Junior Hockey, Coach Sack will continue the Flyers’ tradition of fielding successful teams within the W.S.H.L. and moving players on to the next level.

 

Coach Sack & the Flyers start on the road to the 2010-2011 season with their prospect camp at Ice Station to be held on May 21-23.
